Highway 106 Jonic, Gabella Grande, Crotone (Italy)

Highway 106 "Jonic"

The Highway 106 "Jonica" connects the cities of Reggio Calabria and Taranto (Italy), with a route along the Ionic coast of Calabria, Basilicata and Puglia Regions.

It is a strategic link for South Italy, as it connects the two capitals, the numerous towns on the ionic coastal, the Mediterranean Highway (ex Salerno - Reggio Calabria) and the A14 "Adriatica" Highway that ends in Taranto.

The services were related to the extension with four-lanes and a central traffic island, of a stretch of road of length 5,5 km along the highway 106 close to the district Gabella Grande of the city of Crotone (Italy), from which it took its name.
